Schools mix smart tech and home gardens

A University of Cape Coast teacher wants high school leaders across Ghana to make better use of current government plans. Prof. Festus Annor Frimpong talked about feeding problems at schools during Swedru Secondary School's 66th birthday party. He asked if schools stand ready to put programs like Nkoko Nkitinkiti into action. The professor served as the main speaker at this special event.

According to Frimpong, schools need to act fast instead of waiting. He pointed out how the government aims to reset high school programs through better buildings, teacher pay, job training, and results. The plan includes bringing back home gardens and yard growing spaces under the Nkoko Nkitinkiti approach. He pushed school heads to jump on these chances right away.

Frimpong stressed that schools must incorporate artificial intelligence into students' learning. He warned that countries that ignore computer advances fall behind everyone else. Schools should teach with modern tools because these skills matter for future success. Kids need to practice with digital systems before they finish school.

The professor added one caution about classroom technology. AI tools help teachers but come with risks that need careful handling. Schools must address the right versus wrong questions these systems bring up. Smart machines offer many benefits when used correctly by teachers who understand both the good parts and possible problems they create for students.
