Gambia plans to give away 1.6 million treated bed nets to people across the country. Officials from Gambia and Senegal met Tuesday in Kerr Ali to start their joint 2025 bed net campaign. Their previous campaign in 2022 successfully gave out eight million nets. Health officials warned that any break in protection allows malaria to return quickly. The disease hits children and pregnant women hardest when prevention efforts stop.
