The artist, whose real name is Jimmy Mudereri, walked away after check-in with Ethiopian Airlines because he feared the plane would crash. He had all his travel papers ready, but left everyone confused when he locked himself inside an airport bathroom instead of boarding. Festival organizers had planned for him to perform alongside famous musicians like Alick Macheso, Mambo Dhuterere, Selmor Mtukudzi, Voltz JT, Blot, Nisha T, DJ Sab, and Fatha Ansy.
This marks another problem for Silent Killer following last year's troubles. Police arrested him in July 2024 for taking money without showing up at a concert. The artist also faces anger from Leonard Dembo's family for singing the late musician's songs without permission. His widow warned him to stop using these classic tracks immediately.
