Fast-food giant Simbisa Brands has pulled in a whopping 24.8 million hungry customers in just six months, company bosses revealed yesterday. The food empire saw its cash registers ringing with a juicy four percent more revenue compared to last year.
Independent Non-Executive Chairman Mr Addington Chinake boasted that Zimbabwe's fast-food lovers flocked to their restaurants in record numbers, with customer visits jumping by seven percent. But the big spenders tightened their belts a bit – the average amount each person spent dropped by three percent as the company slashed prices to keep customers coming through the doors despite money troubles plaguing the nation.
The restaurant chain went on a massive expansion spree, opening 38 brand new locations across the country since December 2023. As of the end of December 2024, Simbisa Brands restaurants can be found in 339 different spots throughout Zimbabwe, making it nearly impossible for locals to resist the temptation of their famous fast food offerings.
