Cableguys released an update to Snapback, their drum layering effect plugin. Version 1.1 adds a new Reverse button that lets users transform any audio sample into custom snapbacks - short, reversed audio pieces that play right before drum hits.

The company says users can create signature snapbacks from percussion hits, make reversed vocal snippets, and explore new creative options with this feature. The plugin remembers each sample's reversal settings automatically, even when files change locations or names on the computer.

The update also increases MIDI port capacity from 16 to 256 ports. Joe from Cableguys demonstrates the Reverse feature in a workshop video about the snapback technique.

Current Snapback owners can download the update for free by logging into their accounts on the Cableguys website. New customers can purchase Snapback for $49 or buy the complete Cableguys Bundle for $179, which saves 72% compared to individual plugin purchases.

Existing bundle owners receive a special upgrade price of $29 for adding Snapback through their online accounts.
