Sony Music Publishing just locked in global admin rights for El Reino Infantil’s full songbook, with Leader Entertainment joining the deal. The kids brand has been running for 15 years, and the plan is pretty clear: push its music into more markets, media types, and audiences. Those numbers get wild fast. El Reino Infantil sits above 240 million subscribers spread through 64 YouTube channels, while lifetime viewing is near 180 billion. Another 9 billion plays landed during the first half of 2026. Then there is the character roster. La Granja de Zenón, Bichikids, Canciones del Zoo, Familia Blu, and Paco el Marinero all sit inside the brand’s franchise lineup. Michel Pumar, Leader Entertainment’s chief strategy officer, framed the tie-up around stronger joint resources, fresh content, new formats, and wider international use of its key intellectual property. Oscar Galvan, Sony Music Publishing’s South Cone managing director, pointed toward teams in Argentina and Mexico helping grow the catalog overseas. Across the wider operation, El Reino Infantil adapts material into 11 languages. Its output reaches YouTube, TV, streaming services, games, merchandise, and live events. La Granja de Zenón has taken stage productions into more than 20 countries, passing 800 shows and roughly 1.5 million ticket sales. Felipe de Stefani, CEO of Leader Entertainment, and Roman Lopez, Sony Music Publishing’s managing director for Mexico, took part in the signing. Jorge Mejia leads Sony Music Publishing’s Latin America and U.S. Latin business. Elsewhere inside that division, Monica Jordan moved up to vice president of Creative A&R in 2025, while songwriter and producer Edgar Barrera renewed his worldwide publishing pact in 2024. Latin music has plenty of commercial heat behind it. Recorded-music revenue across Latin America rose 17.1% in 2025, making the region the world’s fastest-growing market. In the U.S., Latin recorded music reached $542.2 million at wholesale during the first half of 2026, an 8.6% year-over-year gain.
