St Pete Traffic Jam Hits Three City Zones

Road crews will narrow traffic lanes in three St. Petersburg districts starting April 17. Drivers should expect delays when traveling through these areas.

Workers need to fix the water system along Bypass Road from Zanevsky Prospect to Boksitogorskaya Street in Krasnogvardeisky District. These repairs will last until April 29. The Petrogradsky district faces similar issues with road work, limiting travel on Krasnogo Kursanta Street from Gdovskaya Street to Bolshoy Prospekt until May 14.

The Pushkinsky district has the most severe restrictions. Crews will completely close part of 6th Sovetskaya Street in Pushkin between Kabelnaya Street and Kolpinskoye Highway until April 21. Officials suggest drivers use 5th Sovetskaya Street, Kolpinskoye Highway, and Promyshlennaya Street instead.

The State Administrative and Technical Inspectorate announced these changes earlier this week. People traveling through these areas should plan extra time. The city previously dealt with traffic problems from blockages in the dam tunnel.
