Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe has created a new partnership with Midlands State University to help students pay for college. The bank will give money to five students who cannot afford university fees. These students will receive full payment for their classes from August 2025 until they finish in 2029. The scholarship program costs 52,000 US dollars total.

The bank will choose three female students and two male students for this program. Each student will also receive a laptop computer to keep. University officials held a ceremony at their Gweru campus to announce the partnership. Only students from Zimbabwe who need financial help can apply for these scholarships.

Dr Gift Manyatera from the university said this program helps the school serve students who need support. He called the partnership a major achievement during the university's 25th anniversary year. Tariro Memo from Stanbic Bank said education builds strong communities and helps the country grow. She explained that supporting young people creates lasting benefits for Zimbabwe.

The bank already helps students at Africa University with similar scholarships. Both organizations will work together to make sure the selection process stays fair and open. The partnership officially begins on July 3, 2025. This program fits with the bank's goal of supporting health, education and environmental projects across Zimbabwe.
