French game developer Streum On Studio left publisher Focus Entertainment to become independent again. The Paris studio started making games back during 2007 after working on Half-Life mods together. Their first major release was E.Y.E.: Divine Cybermancy which came out during 2011 for PC players. The cyberpunk action game featured role-playing elements and used the Source engine for graphics. Players controlled a character caught between warring factions inside a secret organization.

The studio switched to Warhammer 40,000 games after their cyberpunk release proved successful. Space Hulk: Deathwing launched during 2016 as their first shooter set inside the famous tabletop universe. Necromunda: Hired Gun followed during 2021 as another action-packed shooter experience. Focus Entertainment bought the studio after Necromunda but the partnership lasted just four years. The developers bought back their company shares to regain creative control.

Streum On Studio already teased their next project through a short video trailer online. The team plans to reveal more details about their upcoming game during summer gaming events. Gamescom appears likely for the major announcement since Summer Game Fest already passed this year. The European gaming convention takes place during August inside Cologne's main exhibition center.
