There was another shooting in Bekkersdal just recently, where nine people died, and another attack earlier in the month with a higher death toll. It paints a pretty dark picture of gun violence targeting these crowded social spots. Community members and some officials are pointing fingers at illegal firearms and these unsupervised venues as a major part of the problem. For now, the court process is just starting, and a lot of people in that community are waiting to see if anyone else gets charged.
