The Tanzania Basketball Federation confirmed the country will send two women's clubs to the Africa Women's Basketball League. Don Bosco Lioness and Fox Divas will represent Tanzania after qualifying through the national league finals. The federation's secretary general stated that the regional qualifiers are scheduled for Nairobi, Kenya, from November 9 to 15.

The vote for new officials will take place in Dodoma under the supervision of the National Sports Council.
