Message:
Tatenda and Max Matirwadza never made it to graduation. The two Great Zimbabwe University students had left Harare for Masvingo when their car hit a truck from behind. Another student was with them, and none of the three could get out after the hit. Things were grim at the scene. Fire crews had to cut through the wreck to reach those stuck inside. Sadly, the two had died before anyone could pull them free. The last student made it out alive but was still in critical shape. Here's the part no one can say for sure. The truck may have come to a sudden stop, or it may not have been moving at all when the car struck it. Neither claim has proof yet. Officials have not said what caused the crash. And for the families, the pain is hard to put into words. What had been a trip to mark years of hard work has left them grieving, while the fate of the third student remains a grave concern.
