Thieves Nabbed! Police Bust Windhoek Burglars Red-Handed

The police in Windhoek caught two guys they think broke into a house on Saturday morning in a neighborhood called Khomasdal.

The officers saw the men walking near Katutura. The men had bags full of stuff like shoes, computers, and watches. The police thought the things might be stolen.

When the police asked the men about it, they admitted it. The men showed the officers the house they took the stuff from, which is on a street called Anemone.

The deputy commissioner, Kauna Shikwambi, said the guys got into the house by breaking the metal bars on a back window. The people who live there were out. Luckily, the police found all the missing items.

Shikwambi wants everyone to keep their eyes open. She said criminals often watch to see when people leave their homes.

The police operation lasted from 7 p.m. until 4 a.m. They also searched for other crimes, such as drunk driving and fireworks trouble.

There was another break-in that night in Pioneerspark, but those crooks got away before the cops showed up.

Shikwambi is happy the officers did a good job and found the stolen things in Khomasdal.
