Tinubu Ditches TSA for FCT Growth

President Bola Tinubu freed the Federal Capital Territory from treasury account rules to speed up growth. He shared this news when FCT Minister Nyesom Wike brought Abuja community members to visit during the Sallah celebrations on Sunday. Presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga released details about the meeting. Tinubu explained that the single treasury system had blocked infrastructure progress across the nation.

The president believes Wike shows how diverse Nigeria can succeed together. He pointed out that removing these money restrictions quickly led to better roads, improved healthcare, and stronger security around Abuja. Tinubu described how Wike came asking for freedom from the treasury system. Wike showed his plans, and Tinubu agreed because he wanted to see results.

After that decision, changes happened quickly. Rural areas opened up with new roads. Workers finished the vice president's house, which had sat empty for years. The FCT fixed healthcare centers, upgraded schools, and bought new furniture. Tinubu praised Wike for proving that cutting through red tape works. He also liked how Wike changed the FCT government structure to help civil servants advance their careers.

Tinubu said these changes made celebrations possible through fresh ideas. He urged all Nigerians to care more about what leaders accomplish than where they come from. The president claimed life keeps improving with better security and lower food costs. He said markets function better and people feel closer despite differences. Tinubu stressed they seek practical results, comfort, good health, and leaders who truly care.

Wike thanked Tinubu for welcoming FCT residents to the State House. He called the visit historic since it marked the first time locals personally greeted this president during a religious holiday. Wike promised loyalty and pledged to continue developing the capital with many projects finishing soon. He emphasized that despite different backgrounds, FCT residents fully support the Renewed Hope Agenda. Vice President Shettima, Security Adviser Ribadu, and Information Minister Idris attended the event.
