University leaders thanked both companies for supporting student education programs. Petroleum Authority officials attended the ceremony at the equipment handover event. TotalEnergies runs other education projects like the Tilenga Academy and scholarship programs. The company also helped build the Makerere emergency medicine training center during 2023. Both firms support Uganda's goal of training local workers for the growing oil sector.
