Touma Njai in Africa's Top 100 Voices

Africa ABCD Magazine picked Fatoumatta Njai as one of the top 100 most impactful African voices for 2025. Friends call her Touma, and she works as the Banjul South National Assembly Member in The Gambia. The magazine honors women who change Africa through digital platforms, fresh technology, and powerful storytelling. These leaders make lasting impacts across business, education, culture, and social activism with every important conversation they start.

Touma stands out because she fights hard for basic human rights and pushes for women to have more power. She leads as Chairperson of the Select Committee on Gender, Children, and Social Welfare. Many people see her as a key player in Gambian politics because she speaks up clearly for equal treatment between men and women. This latest honor adds to her growing reputation - Reputation Poll International already named her among the 100 Most Reputable Africans back in 2023.

When she heard about this recognition, Touma thanked several important people who helped her succeed. She mentioned the Almighty Allah first, then her family members who supported her. She also felt grateful to the voters who trusted her to represent them. Touma believes she shares this honor with her team, which she calls MbojoMbojo, for helping her complete her work and mission.

The award shows how African women continue to gain international attention for their strong leadership and growing influence. Their powerful voices travel across borders and push others to take meaningful action. Through public service and media platforms, they address big problems facing many African communities today. Women like Touma prove that speaking up consistently brings positive changes and recognition far beyond local politics.
