The president also attacked New York's Democratic socialist candidate Zohran Mamdani who is running for mayor. Trump called the politician a disaster and hinted at federal intervention there as well.

Trump refuses to reveal his exact plans for New York but promises to straighten out the city from Washington. He suggests some kind of federal action might come to the Big Apple under his leadership. The president clearly believes local Democratic leaders cannot handle their jobs properly. His comments show he wants more federal control over major American cities.
