Try the PolarDesigner 3 beta to tweak your mic sound

Austrian Audio wants your help testing PolarDesigner 3 right away. The company created this updated plugin for musicians with OC818 or OC-S10 microphones. They changed many things to make everything work better. Users can join the public beta program and share what they think.

This smart tool lets you adjust microphone pickup patterns after finishing your recording. It divides audio into five different frequency bands for separate control, allowing musicians to shape exactly how their acoustic recordings sound. You gain creative options without needing extra equipment.

The screen looks completely different from earlier versions. Austrian Audio redesigned everything to make finding features easier. They built a new Trim slider that helps make tiny adjustments to each frequency area. The software works on both Windows and Mac computers, including the latest Apple processor chips.

Martin Seidl is the CEO of Austrian Audio. He believes great microphones need both excellent physical design and powerful digital controls. The company believes user feedback matters most when making software better. It plans to use what it learns from real musicians to improve future updates.

The technical side received major upgrades. It runs smoothly on Apple M1, M2, M3, and M4 chips. You can use it as AAX, VST3, or AU plugins with popular recording programs. The window size changes based on what you need. Everything runs faster than before. The Terminator control feels more natural when making adjustments.
