The Citizens Coalition for Change, or CCC for short, is upset with a man named Sengezo Tshabangu. He says he's their temporary leader, but they don't agree. There's been a big argument about who should be in charge of the CCC for a while now. Some people think that desperate politicians are giving money to Tshabangu. They hope he'll let them stay in Parliament or give them powerful jobs. Tshabangu has been causing a lot of trouble. He's been kicking out CCC politicians from Parliament. He says they aren't part of the party anymore. Because of all this fighting and kicking people out, the old CCC leader Nelson Chamisa left the party. He said that the ruling party Zanu PF had secretly taken over the CCC. Tshabangu has fired CCC leaders from important jobs in Parliament. He replaced them with politicians who will do what he says. He recently demoted two important CCC politicians - Lynette Karenyi-Kore and Edwin Mushoriwa. The CCC spokesperson Willas Madzimure says these changes weren't the party's decision. He thinks Tshabangu is just showing off his power. Madzimure says there are more important things to worry about than this childish behavior. He says some people are paying a lot of money to get these powerful positions. It's not about who deserves them. The CCC hasn't decided what to do about Tshabangu yet. But they know he can't kick out any more politicians. Even the Speaker of Parliament knows this. Madzimure says it's not nice to keep threatening to remove people. Just because you have power now doesn't mean you'll always have it. He says it's sad when hard-working politicians get removed from Parliament. Some of them may have been chosen in a controversial way, but they still worked hard to win votes. Madzimure himself was removed twice, so he knows how it feels. He wonders why Tshabangu is punishing all these politicians. Tshabangu and the CCC leader Welshman Ncube have been fighting over control of the party's money and other issues. When asked about all this, Tshabangu told the newspaper to talk to his spokesperson instead. But the spokesperson didn't answer his phone.
