The Information Minister of Gambia, Dr. Ismaila Ceesay, says Türkiye and Gambia are very good friends. Dr. Ceesay talked about his country and how Türkiye and Gambia work together. He said Gambia is peaceful and has many different people living there. Gambia has nice weather for people who want to visit. The country has more than 500 kinds of birds. Dr. Ceesay thinks everyone should see the Gambia River, which you can travel on by boat. When asked what people should think about Gambia, he answered "Peace" three times. He said Gambia is a very peaceful place. Dr. Ceesay wants people from Gambia to learn about Turkish culture and history. He believes people in Türkiye should also learn about Gambian culture and religion. He thinks sharing news stories can help both countries understand each other better. The minister thanked the Turkish people for helping Gambia. He said President Adama Barrow is happy with how Türkiye helps with defense and business. Dr. Ceesay likes the Turkish ambassador in Banjul and calls him "wonderful" and "humble." Türkiye and Gambia are becoming closer friends. They work together in politics, money matters, and army training. Since 1991, many soldiers and police from Gambia have learned skills in Türkiye. You can find Gambians who speak Turkish on the streets of Gambia. A Turkish school runs in Gambia, and a Turkish culture center will open soon. Türkiye sells 16% more things to Gambia this year. Gambians really like Türkiye and Turkish culture.
