Uganda Rugby Cranes travel to Southern Africa for training before hosting the Rugby Africa Cup 2025. The team leaves Kampala Wednesday for matches and camps in Namibia and South Africa. Mandela National Stadium will host the main tournament from July 8 to 19 next month. Blue Bulls rugby club will help prepare the Cranes during their stay. Three friendly games and two training camps make up the preparation schedule. The tour starts with a test match against Namibia on June 14 in Windhoek. Players move to Nylsvroom for five days of intensive training from June 16 to 19. The Cranes face Limpopo Blue Bulls on June 21 for their second friendly match. Final preparation happens in Nelspruit with four days of training from June 23 to 26. The tour ends with a friendly against the Pumas on June 27. Head coach Fred Mudoola selected 36 players for the Southern Africa trip. The first group of 24 players travels to Namibia for the opening match. Twelve more players join the squad when the team reaches South Africa. Management staff includes coaches, medical staff, and team officials for complete support. The preparation tour aims to build fitness and teamwork before the home tournament.
