Uganda Cubs in Hot Group with Morocco and Tough Foes

Some young football players from Uganda, all under 17 years old, will play in a big tournament in Morocco next year. They found out on Thursday who they will play against. Uganda's team will play against teams from Morocco, Tanzania, and Zambia.

The games will start on March 30 and finish on April 19, 2025. Sixteen teams will participate in this tournament. The teams play in groups of four, and Morocco's team plays first because it owns the playing fields.

Uganda's young team has played in this tournament before. They played in Tanzania in 2019. They made it again in 2021, but everyone had to stay home because people were sick with COVID-19.

This year makes everything special. More teams than ever before can play in the World Cup for young players. Ten teams from Africa will travel to Qatar to play against other countries between November 5 and 27, 2025.

The person who trains Uganda's young team is called Brian Ssenyondo. He wants his team to make it to the World Cup. He thinks playing against Morocco will be hard because they play at home. He has not learned much about Zambia's team yet, but he knows they must be good because they have played in this tournament many times before.
