University Student Murdered in Nairobi

Multiple Deaths Under Investigation Across Kenya.

A Kenya Methodist University student died in what police suspect was a murder in Nairobi's Muthurwa area. The public reported finding the body of Simon Njoroge Nyoro, 21, along Muthurwa Road on Monday, February 3.

The victim had a stab wound to his upper left chest, bruised knees, and blood-stained clothes. Officials moved his body to the City Mortuary for examination. Central police commander Stephen Okal said no arrests have been made. The motive remains unclear.

Police discovered another body on Outering Road in Huruma, Nairobi. The victim had deep cuts on the left cheek and neck. Authorities transferred the remains to Nairobi Funeral Home. One suspect is in custody, helping with investigations.

In Makongeni, Nairobi, police found Bernard Mutinda, 27, dead on a footbridge. His body awaits examination at the mortuary. The case remains unsolved.

The GG area of Gilgil reported the death of Peter Waweru Njuguna, 22. His body, found by the roadside, showed signs of head trauma and strangulation. Police continue their search for suspects.

In a separate incident in Siakago, Mbeere, an eight-year-old boy drowned in a 12-foot-deep fishpond. The grade three student from Riandu Primary School had gone swimming with friends. Officials transported his body to Embu General Hospital for examination.
