Steam currently lists a Radeon RX 6700 minimum and RX 7900 GRE recommended for Valor Mortis, with 16GB RAM required at both tiers. The catch is printed directly underneath those numbers. One More Level still calls them demo specifications and says they may change before the full release on October 13, 2026. The rest of the current minimum setup is a Ryzen 7 3700X or Core i7-11700, Windows 11, DirectX 12, and 50GB of storage on an SSD. Recommended jumps to a Ryzen 7 7700 or Core i7-13700 while leaving memory at 16GB and storage at 50GB, so the processor step is much bigger than the RAM change because there is no RAM change at all. AMD currently repeats the same Radeon hardware on its Valor Mortis game page, but Steam carries the important warning about the figures belonging to the demo. Anyone sizing a new PC around these numbers should treat them as a useful checkpoint, not a promise about launch-day settings, resolution, frame rate, or image quality. [HEADING=2]The listed requirements belong to the demo build[/HEADING] A lot of requirement pages flatten the caveat and present the numbers as if One More Level has already nailed down final launch targets. The developer said in September that the old demo no longer represented the quality and polish of the full game because optimization work, balancing, and bug fixes had moved on. Its two demo chapters were bespoke Steam Next Fest versions rather than clean slices lifted unchanged from the shipping campaign. This matters if you tried the demo and got ugly frame pacing or an unexpectedly heavy GPU load. Demo performance gives you evidence about that particular build, but it cannot cleanly predict the October version after months of optimization work. The same caution works in the other direction too, so a machine scraping through the demo should not be declared launch-ready from one lucky run. Average frame rate is not the whole story anyway. One ugly hitch can feel worse than the average FPS suggests, which is exactly the territory covered in frame-time spikes and perceived smoothness. Its controlled FPS test separated graphics quality from induced stalls, and the stalls did the real damage to smoothness and player performance. [HEADING=2]An RX 9070 XT clears the current GPU target[/HEADING] The current recommended Radeon is the RX 7900 GRE, a 16GB RDNA 3 card, while the RX 9070 XT moves to AMD's newer RDNA 4 architecture with 16GB of memory. Current independent GPU testing places the 9070 XT in a higher performance class, so a themed Sapphire RX 9070 XT bundle is not sitting on the edge of the presently listed Radeon recommendation. No honest frame-rate promise follows from that. Steam does not attach a resolution, graphics preset, target FPS, ray-tracing setting, or upscaling mode to either requirement tier, which makes labels such as minimum and recommended much less precise than they look. A third-party page claiming the recommended spec means 1080p at 60 FPS is adding an assumption unless One More Level publishes the same target. Valor Mortis is also being promoted with AMD FSR Redstone support, which gives RX 9000 hardware access to AMD's newer machine-learning graphics stack where the game implements it. Upscaling and frame generation can change the performance picture substantially, but they do not turn an unlabelled recommended specification into a benchmark. Native rendering performance, reconstructed resolution, generated frames, and latency are different measurements. [HEADING=2]CPU and SSD requirements deserve more attention[/HEADING] If your PC already has an RX 9070 XT, the more useful shopping check may be everything around it. A Ryzen 7 7700 or Core i7-13700 is the current recommended CPU pair, while 16GB RAM appears on both tiers. Someone dropping a new high-end graphics card into an older system should compare the processor first instead of assuming the GPU upgrade settles the whole question. The SSD requirement is unusually explicit. Steam does not merely recommend solid-state storage; it marks an SSD as required alongside 50GB of free space, so planning to install the game on an old mechanical hard drive falls outside the published spec even if capacity is available. No drive-speed target is listed, which means claims about needing a particular NVMe generation would be guesswork for now. Windows 11 and DirectX 12 are also listed at both levels with no Windows 10 option shown. If you are keeping an older Windows 10 gaming box alive because the hardware still does the job, the current requirements give you no official basis for assuming it will be supported. Final launch specs could change, but Windows 10 support is not listed today.
