Luke Mushore died on June 13 and will become a National Hero when he gets buried on Monday. President Mnangagwa will lead the ceremony at National Heroes Acre. Minister Kazembe Kazembe spoke about the burial plans and said the family wanted Monday as the burial date. The President agreed to their request and everything is ready for the ceremony. Kazembe visited the Mushore family home with other government ministers to pay their respects. He said they lost a strong leader who helped develop the province and country.

Mushore joined the freedom fight in 1972 and stayed loyal to the ruling party after independence. He became the provincial chairperson and helped with land reform programs that gave power to local communities. Minister Magomo said Mushore made huge contributions during the liberation war and after Zimbabwe became independent.

The late hero started a successful farm in Centenary that produced excellent crops and helped the country make money. He was more than just a farmer because he brought people together and mentored others. His leadership skills earned him great respect from everyone who knew him.

People are gathering at his farm in Muzarabani to mourn his death. The provincial leadership recommended him for national hero status because of his lifetime of service to Zimbabwe.
