Watch Bethesda finally reveal Oblivion remaster

Bethesda will show off its new Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion remaster tomorrow. Fans can watch the reveal on April 22 at 8 AM Pacific Time through YouTube or Twitch. The company shared a teaser image featuring a battle-worn eye with the number IV nearby. This announcement confirms many recent leaks about the project. Game enthusiasts found hidden website links last week, along with comparison images showing impressive visual upgrades.

The remaster uses Unreal Engine 5 to create better textures, lighting, and effects throughout the game world. Combat might feel different with changes inspired by Dark Souls games. The stealth system, archery mechanics, and stamina management could see improvements to match current gaming standards. Some people think Bethesda might release the game right after the announcement stream ends.

Players can expect the remaster on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. The original Oblivion came out in 2006 for Xbox 360 and Windows computers, with PlayStation 3 following a year later. As an Xbox first-party game, it will almost certainly appear on Game Pass from launch day. No information exists about a Nintendo Switch 2 version.
