Wendy's has reintroduced chicken tenders under the name Tendys, featuring a revised recipe and expanded sauce selection. The fast-food chain previously offered tenders in 2007 and 2017, but discontinued them in 2019. The new product uses all-white-meat chicken with seasoned breading and is available in three-piece and four-piece portions, plus a two-piece option for children's meals.
The chain redesigned six sauces with nearly double the previous volume: Wendy's Signature, Sweet Chili, Scorchin' Hot, Creamy Ranch, Honey BBQ, and Honey Mustard. Each order includes two sauce containers. The company modified the packaging with a cutout designed to hold sauce cups more securely. Becky Davis, vice president of global culinary innovation at Wendy's, said the chain continually seeks chicken product innovations to meet customer preferences. The company has not specified whether Tendys will remain on the menu permanently.
