National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula told politicians they should focus on good ideas instead of trading nasty words. He spoke at Holy Trinity Cathedral on Sunday morning during a church service. The leader said some politicians are dividing the country when everyone needs to work together. He asked church members to pray for Kenya as political fights heat up across the nation. Wetang'ula believes peace remains the only way forward for any real progress. The Speaker promised people of Bungoma that their town will become a city before he dies. He plans to make sure all the paperwork and requirements get finished properly. Wetang'ula told Kenyans they should keep their faith strong during these tough times. He said religious beliefs help leaders make better choices for the country. The church service brought hundreds of people together to worship and listen. Father Mambo Collins gave a powerful sermon about staying humble and serving others well. The priest talked about how real leaders should put people first and pray for guidance. Kanduyi MP John Makali joined the Speaker at the cathedral service. He said churches must help fix society and teach young people right from wrong. Several other important officials attended the religious gathering. Church members walked through Bungoma County after the service ended. They prayed for government offices, markets, businesses and all of Kenya. The group wanted God to bring peace and success to their communities. Bungoma First Lady Margaret Makelo and other local leaders joined the prayer march through town.
