What could be the reason many Zim artists chose to abandon Urban Grooves music in Zimbabwe?

I thought it was a thriving genre of music in Zim (just like Sungura music) way before Zimdancehall music came along.

More people in Zimbabwe relate to Zimdancehall music because it sometimes makes emphasis of the harsh economic environment.

Where as Urban Grooves songs are mostly love songs. I am not saying there is anything wrong with that, but Zimdancehall easily connects with the people, especially those in high density areas.
