Why Aren't My Basslines Energetic on All Systems?

I'm looking for tips to make my bass guitar sound more translatable. While my kick drums translate well across different playback systems, my basslines often lack energy. Any advice on enhancing the power and clarity of bass on various devices would be greatly appreciated!

Keep in mind that your natural bass sound is in the midrange.

Boost the overtones around 140-160Hz.

If it's a clean direct or amp signal, don't hesitate to split it into the amp simulator and use some distortion. Record it on a separate track and push it back if there's latency. This will also tighten it up, with some aggressive compression on the distorted track.
