[QUOTE="Munyaradzi Mafaro, post: 80211, member: 636"] Three people tied directly to the main suspect in that political murder have given confessions in court. The wife, the girlfriend, and the brother-in-law of Faisal Karim Masud all admitted some involvement in the killing of Sharif Osman Hadi. Their names are Saheda Parvin Samia, Maria Akter Lima, and Wahid Ahmed Shipu. Two separate magistrate courts in Dhaka recorded their statements. All three were then sent back to jail. In the same hearing, another suspect named Aminul Islam Raju got a five-day remand order. Police say Raju helped Faisal hide near the border after the shooting. A prosecutor named Mia Mohammad Ashis Bin Hasan confirmed these developments. The court run by Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Awlad Hossain Muhammad Junaid handled the proceedings. The investigator, a DB Inspector named Faisal Ahmed, applied to take the confessions after the three said they wanted to talk. For Raju, the prosecution asked for a ten-day remand. They claimed he contacted a guy named Philip through a relative to arrange Faisal's escape to a border zone right after the crime. They also alleged Raju helped manage money for the fleeing suspects. The state lawyer, Kaiyum Hossain Nayan, argued for the remand. With no defense lawyer present for Raju, the court gave investigators five days with him instead of ten. These three confessing suspects had already gone through two separate five-day remand periods since their arrest. The case started as attempted murder but was upgraded after the victim died. So far, authorities have listed ten arrests. That group includes Faisal's parents, who already confessed, plus a rent-a-car businessman and several alleged escape facilitators. One of those facilitators has been jailed already after his remand finished. The prime accused, Faisal Karim Masud, is still missing. A court has officially banned him from leaving the country.
