Williams drivers start last after rear wing fiasco

George Russell will start from pole position at the Singapore Grand Prix after stewards disqualified both Williams drivers for rear wing regulation violations. The Mercedes driver secured the top spot ahead of Max Verstappen, but the Red Bull champion aborted his final qualifying lap after encountering slower traffic from Lando Norris.

Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz originally qualified in 12th and 13th positions, but officials moved them to the back of the grid after finding their cars violated sporting regulations. Oscar Piastri will line up third for McLaren, and Kimi Antonelli claimed fourth place to separate the two McLaren entries on the starting grid.
