Yamson Trusts Mahama to Reset Ghana's Economy

Dr. Ismael Yamson, who leads the 2025 National Economic Dialogue Planning Committee, believes President John Dramani Mahama can create a better future for Ghana. Dr. Yamson noted that Ghana desperately needs recovery after years of poor economic decisions and widespread corruption that pushed many citizens into severe poverty. He thinks President Mahama will succeed despite challenges because most Ghanaians stand ready to help him accomplish these goals.

Dr. Yamson shared these thoughts during his opening speech at the 2025 National Economic Dialogue, which began Monday, March 3, at the Accra International Conference Centre. At the meeting, which carries the theme "Resetting Ghana: Building the Economy We Want Together," Dr. Yamson told attendees that this current situation differs greatly from what previous generations expected for the nation.

He emphasized that Ghana requires new leadership to change course, and he sees President Mahama as the right person for this important task. Dr. Yamson praised Mahama for having the wisdom needed to free the country from public mismanagement and corruption issues. He expressed faith that Mahama would put Ghana back on track toward lasting growth.

The chairman described how major transformations typically need strong individual leadership. He stated his confidence that Mahama possesses the necessary skills to reset the nation completely. Dr. Yamson looks forward to seeing Ghana develop under Mahama's guidance, creating prosperity that benefits all citizens across the country.
