Yaw Siki says one porn tape led to years of addiction, and it all began back in junior high. A girl he knew told him a classmate had a cassette with adult scenes. His interest got the best of him, and he went to see what was on it.

But that first view did not stay a one-off. He kept going back to such clips until he felt he could not quit. In an interview, the singer said the habit grew bit by bit and had a big effect on how he thought about sex.

His teen years brought more of the same. He began having sex quite young, took up masturbation, and even paid for sex. He links much of that conduct to the stuff he had seen as a schoolboy.

Then came Wo Pe Dodo, the track that made him a hit with highlife fans. By the time it came out, he was still hooked on porn. He feels the song drew from his life back then, when lust played a big role in his choices.

Things have changed for him since he became a Christian. He quit his old style of music and chose gospel instead. These days, he speaks about those early habits as part of his faith story and the change he says he has made in his life.
