Zimbabwean Minister Calls for Party Discipline at War Veteran's Burial. HARARE, Zimbabwe - Dr. Jenfan Muswere, Zimbabwe's Information Minister, urged ZANU PF party members to maintain discipline. He spoke at the burial of Lt. Col. Luxon Micheal Mapfumo on Tuesday. Mapfumo was a retired war veteran. He fought for Zimbabwe's independence. Muswere expressed concern over recent public criticism of party leadership. He said this behavior is unacceptable, especially from Central Committee members. "They should use proper channels to express views," Muswere stated. He praised Mapfumo as a consistent and dedicated patriot. Adv. Misheck Mugadza also spoke at the burial. Mugadza is the Minister of State for Manicaland Province. He described Mapfumo as an exceptional commander in Zimbabwe's military. "His loyalty and patriotism were unmatched," Mugadza said. Mugadza called on Zimbabweans to defend the country's independence. He urged them to resist neo-colonial influences. Several ZANU PF officials attended the burial. Family and community members were also present. Mapfumo died last Thursday. He was celebrated for his commitment to Zimbabwe's development, and speakers highlighted his role in shaping the nation's history. They held up Mapfumo as an example of discipline and patriotism. The officials encouraged all Zimbabweans to follow his legacy.
