Young party members in northern Zimbabwe support moving national elections from 2028 to 2030. The ZANU PF Youth League says this change would let President Mnangagwa finish his development projects.

The ruling party voted for the delay at its recent meeting in Bulawayo. Leaders want Mnangagwa to stay in office until 2030 to complete his programs.

"These projects improve lives across Zimbabwe," said Pauline Mpande, the youth group's media officer. She praised Mnangagwa's leadership and economic plans.

The Youth League pledged to help reach national goals by 2030. Local chair Lundy Sinzeka cited new benefits for young people, including land plots and fishing equipment.

"Our region has new schools and clinics," Sinzeka said. "We expect more progress under President Mnangagwa through 2030."

Security chief Thubelihle Duke Ncube said youth members across the country back the plan. He noted Zimbabwe's growth despite Western sanctions.

"Our nation has become a building site with projects rising everywhere," Ncube said. "The economy responds well to new policies."

The party wants its youth leaders to explain these changes to other citizens. Legal officer Meluleki Khumalo stressed their role in sharing the plan's benefits with the public.
