Zimbabwe and Algeria eye deeper economic ties

According to Ms Selma Bakhta Mansouri, State Secretary for African Affairs in Algeria's Foreign Ministry, Zimbabwe needs to team up with Algeria for better business deals that benefit everyone. Yesterday in Harare, she talked with Zimbabwe's Foreign Minister, Professor Amon Murwira, to discuss how their countries can work together more closely.

Both nations fought against colonialism years ago, creating a strong bond. The officials discussed plans for upcoming joint meetings where they'll explore new ways to cooperate. Ms Mansouri mentioned they want to boost trade between the countries. She hopes her visit will make the relationship between Zimbabwe and Algeria even stronger.

Algeria already helps Zimbabwe through education programs, giving scholarships to Zimbabwean students who study science subjects. The two countries have maintained good relations for many years. Their shared history continues to serve as a foundation for current partnerships. Officials from both sides expressed satisfaction with the meeting's outcomes.
