Zimbabwe and China Mark 45 Years of Friendship

Zimbabwe wishes to keep building on its strong ties with China as they mark 45 years of diplomatic relations. Foreign Affairs Minister Amon Murwira expressed happiness about their friendship that has grown deeper over the decades.

Both nations want to strengthen their partnership further. Murwira hopes the progress made in bilateral relations will continue benefiting both countries. The relationship reached a high point when it became a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership of Cooperation in 2018, boosting trade, investment, and government interactions.

Zimbabwe has committed to deepening cooperation through the new five-star ironclad framework announced by President Xi Jinping. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi described their friendship as profound and able to withstand global changes. He noted that both countries treat each other as equals with sincerity.

Wang said China and Zimbabwe have built stronger trust under Presidents Xi and Mnangagwa's leadership. He plans to work with Zimbabwe to mark the anniversary by increasing cooperation between their foreign ministries. Their goal is to enhance the partnership and build a shared future community.
