Banda represented Zimbabwe nine times on the national team. Warriors coach Michael Nees praised his discipline and work ethic. ZIFA President Nqobile Magwizi called him a humble leader. FC Platinum officials said he was a beloved teammate and friend. His former club Highlanders also honored his memory with kind words.
