Zimbabwe talked with important partners about joining Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan. The country wants to show off what makes it great for business and travel. Japanese Ambassador Shinichi Yamanaka hosted everyone at his home to discuss plans. This meeting helped Zimbabwe explain what they hope to achieve. Deputy Minister Sheillah Chikomo from Foreign Affairs said this expo really matters to Zimbabwe. She explained how the event lets them display trade and investment changes to the world. She mentioned Zimbabwe offers plenty of natural resources, talented workers, and a good location in southern Africa. The country chose "Beyond the Limits" as their theme for the expo. Tourism Minister Barbara Rwodzi highlighted how travel brings money into Zimbabwe. She called tourism their biggest export product and said the expo gives them a perfect chance. Japan used to send many tourists before, and Zimbabwe wants Japanese visitors back. Rwodzi pointed out that Asian travelers love nature trips, cultural experiences, and historic sites. Deputy Minister Raj Modi from Industry talked about factory and business goals. He sees the expo as a way to attract money and create new trade deals. Zimbabwe aims to become a steel production center for the region. They also want to make more products locally and sell more goods to other countries. All these plans connect to Vision 2030 for Zimbabwe. Ambassador Yamanaka promised Japan would strengthen ties with Zimbabwe. He announced Zimbabwe's National Day at the expo, which will happen on July 16, 2025. The ambassador praised Zimbabwe's new website and phone app for the expo. He looks forward to welcoming President Mnangagwa and other leaders to this big event. Japan will also host African development talks on August 20-22, 2025, in Yokohama.
