Each MP can park two cars for free. Most people must pay $1 every hour to park in Harare city center. MPs must give copies of their car papers to the Human Capital Department. These papers go to office number 340 on the third floor.

MPs also get free passage through tollgates. ZINARA made special lanes at some tollgates for cars that do not pay. The first ones are at Skyline, Dema, and Eskbank. These lanes are extra wide. Cars must have an e-tag for the boom to open by itself. No person works at these lanes.

ZINARA staff will visit Parliament on February 26 and March 5, 2025, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. They will put e-tags on MP cars. MPs should bring both their free cars and their car books. MPs who miss this might have problems at tollgates later.

Linda Masarira does not like these new perks. She leads the Labor, Economists, and African Democrats party. She thinks MPs already have enough good things. She said on X that MPs care more about making life easy for themselves than helping regular people. She feels these free things hurt all the Zimbabweans who cannot pay for basics.
