Irvine's Zimbabwe mainly exports baby chickens that will grow up to lay eggs, selling them mostly to Mozambique. They also send parent chickens to countries in Southern Africa. The company meets all local needs first before exporting extras. Only Irvine's Zimbabwe has permission to supply special Cobb 500 parent chicks to other African nations. The growing exports show Zimbabwe can feed itself and still sell to others.
