Students Visit the Iranian Embassy to Learn About Culture. HARARE, Zimbabwe—On Friday, Students from two schools visited the Iranian Embassy's Cultural Centre to learn more about Iranian culture. The schools were Blessed Hope Gaza Academy and Mountain Bay School. The visit was part of cultural diplomacy efforts to promote peace and education. Hamid Bakhtiyar is the cultural counselor at the Embassy of Iran. He says cultural exchanges between Iran and Zimbabwe are important. He wants more people-to-people interactions to build on friendly government relations. "This event helps us enhance cultural exchanges between Iran and Zimbabwe," Bakhtiyar said. "Unfortunately, the people of the two countries do not have enough information about our culture, traditions, and customs." Bakhtiyar informed the students about Iran's social life, heritage, history, and educational opportunities. He hopes to motivate them to learn about Iranian culture and possibly study in Iran on scholarships. Dr. Norbert Hosho is the executive director of Blessed Hope Gaza Academy. He thanked the embassy for the opportunity given to the students. "We are dedicated to teaching our students the importance of peace, understanding, and compassion," Hosho said. The principal of Mountain Bay School, Mr. Boas Foroma, also praised the initiative. He said exposure to different cultures is essential for developing well-rounded individuals. Students from both schools actively participated in discussions, asking questions about Iranian customs and traditions. The students appreciated the warm hospitality of the embassy staff and left with a deeper understanding of Iran's cultural heritage.
