The Zongo Youth Movement told Kennedy Agyapong to stay away from their neighborhoods. They want him to keep his political campaign out of Zongo and Muslim areas. The group says Agyapong must first speak against comments from his team member. Dr. Stephen Amoah works with Agyapong and made remarks about religion. The group feels angry about what Amoah said. Amoah claimed the NPP lost the 2024 election because Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia follows Islam. Abdullai Ali speaks for the Zongo Youth Movement and called these words harmful. He thinks the comments hurt religious peace across Ghana. Ali says such statements divide people and show disrespect. The remarks also make Muslims feel insulted and attacked. Ali connects Amoah's words directly to Agyapong's campaign team. Nobody from Agyapong's group condemned what Amoah said after he made the statement. Some team members even went on television and radio to defend the claim. They used wrong information to support their position. The silence from Agyapong makes it seem like he agrees with Amoah. The movement wants both men to apologize to the public right away. They demand Agyapong and Amoah say sorry for the religious comments. Without an apology the Muslim community will refuse all campaign visits from Agyapong's team. The group warns that Zongo areas will reject any political outreach from his camp. They believe politicians should never use religion to win votes or create division among Ghanaians.
