More than 1,100 farmer producer organizations have achieved annual revenues exceeding one crore rupees under a government initiative targeting 10,000 such entities. The Agriculture Ministry reports that these collectives represent over three million farmers, with women comprising 40 percent of participants. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched this program on February 29, 2020, allocating 6,865 crore rupees through 2027-28. Each organization receives 18 lakh rupees in management support over three years.
