Absa Bank Uganda fired up its Business Club again with major backing from Uganda Airlines, Grant Thornton, Prudential, DHL and Enterprise Uganda. The bank targets small and medium businesses that power Uganda's economy with 90 percent of private sector activity and 80 percent of GDP. David Wandera from Absa said the club helps entrepreneurs build sustainable businesses ready for the future. The original club started in 2004 and has already helped more than 500 small businesses across the country. The fresh version focuses on four main areas including market access, training, networking and financial services.
