Self Help Africa plans to bring better cooking stoves to thousands of families across Dowa district. The organization will spend the next 21 months helping people access cleaner energy options through their new subsidy program. Officials want to boost clean energy use from 37 percent to 50 percent and connect over 280,000 households before 2030 arrives. The project will give money incentives to families who buy environmentally friendly cooking equipment.
