President William Ruto gave residents two extra days to sign up for new homes. More than 10,000 people have put their names on the list for houses at Soweto B. The registration was supposed to end Saturday, but continues through Monday. People who register receive special Makao Bora cards as proof they signed up. These cards will help them get houses when the project finishes.
Ruto visited the building site on Friday and promised that families will move into their new homes in May 2026. He plans to push the building company to work faster and finish earlier.
