CLE exec and lawyer walk free in fraud case
The court cleared Huggins Duri and Linda Kovi of fraud charges after their trial ended at Harare Magistrates' Court. Regional magistrate Lazini Ncube decided the State failed to prove its case with enough evidence. He pointed out problems with how the Council for Legal Education handled exam processes. The main witness, Shorai Mupunga, seemed more like someone involved in the crime. Her testimony lacked believability. The case claimed Kovi and Duri worked together to fake a certificate that allowed Kovi to become a lawyer in Zimbabwe. The Council for Legal Education's Finance Manager, Joe Zimba, represented the State as the complainant. Kovi graduated with a law degree from the University of Africa in Zambia back in 2019. She needed to...

Hermes feels pinch as China demand cools
Hermès saw slower sales growth at the start of the year because Chinese shoppers bought fewer luxury goods. Their sales in Asia Pacific, except Japan, only grew 1.2 percent, which missed what experts expected. The company that makes Birkin bags reported overall sales slightly below predictions. This rare letdown comes as fancy brands face weak growth with Chinese customers spending less on expensive items. The luxury market looks even worse after Donald Trump put a 10 percent tax on European imports. Hermès plans to raise prices in America starting May 1 to deal with these new tariffs. Store traffic decreased in China partly because of problems in the housing market. The company also had to compare against strong sales from last year...

They process visual information during their thinking, even working with blurry pictures or zooming into photos. OpenAI started the AI boom in 2022 when it launched ChatGPT. It keeps making better systems but faces strong competition. Companies like DeepSeek, Anthropic, and Elon Musk's xAI are creating similar...
