Switch 2 leaks spill tea on 120Hz VRR screen
Nintendo has been silent about what's inside its upcoming Switch 2 gaming device. When it first teased this new machine, it barely showed any details. Media outlets have been hunting for leaks since early 2020, starting when kopite7kimi found something called an NVIDIA "T239" chip. Last week, reports mentioned Famiboards as a pretty good source for secret Nintendo information. A Famiboards member broke their secrecy agreement earlier this year, revealing Switch 2 screen details. They wrote: "I've heard that the screen supports 120 Hz and VRR, which should help a lot in handheld." Later, SecretBoy added more info: "Developers can optimize the handheld profiles of their games with VRR and 40 FPS in mind." The GamingLeaksAndRumours Reddit...
ASUS Gold RTX 5090 Dhahab is up for charity
ASUS makes a really pricey graphics card called the ROG Astral RTX 5090 OC Edition. Stores want at least $3000 for it even though it started at $2800. They also created an extra fancy gold version named "Dhahab" that seemed meant just for Middle East and North African markets. ASUS recently brought one of these gold cards all the way to San Francisco. Ernest Cheng runs marketing for ASUS North America. He posted a picture on LinkedIn showing NVIDIA boss Jensen Huang had signed this gold RTX 5090. Cheng wrote about how special the card became after receiving what he called an "anointment." News sites think ASUS will auction this rare item for charity. The signature and "RTX ON!" message from Huang should make it worth much more money...
A20 chip gets N2 spin for extra muscle
Apple news sites discussed Jeff Pu's comments earlier this week. Pu is an analyst at GF Industries in Hong Kong. He first claimed the next A20 chip would come from TSMC using their 3 nanometers (N3P) process. This went against earlier talk about Apple jumping to better 2-nanometer technology. The first report suggested Apple might stick with the same basic chip-making method they used for the A19. Pu mentioned they would add TSMC's special Chip on Wafer on Substrate packaging to help with AI features. But something changed fast after that first news broke to everyone. MacRumors published a new article this morning with different information. It said the teams at GF Industries mixed up their facts about the iPhone 18 coming in 2026...
Atomfall trailer teases dark secrets in Britain

MSI BIOS tweaks make Ryzen 9 9950X3D even faster
AMD makes the Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor with 16 cores, 32 threads, and a 3D V-Cache. This chip works great for both making content and playing games. MSI found ways to make it run even better with their special BIOS features. Their tests show these settings can boost performance by up to 14.5% in games like Monster Hunter Wilds. You need the right firmware to see these speed gains. MSI says you should install chipset driver version 7.01.08.129 or newer because it has the AMD Application Compatibility Database driver. If you update to a BIOS with AGESA 1.2.0.3 or higher, you might see an unknown device appear in Device Manager. You can fix this by adding that AMD driver from the latest chipset package. The newest BIOS setups help games...
Grab your RTX 5090 and 5080 at NVIDIA flash sale
NVIDIA surprised fans last night when their AI Developer account shared big news about limited GeForce RTX 5090 sales. They posted: "GeForce RTX 5090s are available at the Gear Store in the park right at GTC 2025. 90 units are available for the next 30 minutes, with more coming tomorrow. Come say hi!" This rare chance caught the eye of many tech news sites, including Tom's Hardware, which shared extra details about the flash sale. Most days, NVIDIA's Gear Store Mobile Truck sells regular stuff like shirts, hats, and sweaters. But reports say the company changed things up by selling actual GeForce RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 graphics cards from its pop-up truck. According to an info sign at the truck, the company priced these cards at their...
WD SN7100 gets 4TB option in 2025
Western Digital introduced its WD_BLACK SN7100 NVMe SSD series last November. The company says these drives use its newest TLC 3D NAND technology. These fresh SSDs run at speeds reaching 7,250 MB/s for reading and 6,900 MB/s for writing on the 1 and 2 TB sizes. This means they perform about 35% better than earlier models. The official announcements never directly called the SN7100 a replacement for the popular SN770 from 2022. Yet the recent positive review by W1zzard of the 2 TB version makes several comparisons between these two product lines. Western Digital hinted at a larger storage option when they first talked about these drives last year. Based on updated listings, a new 4 TB model of the WD_BLACK SN7100 will hit stores very...
